Learning and participation projects are one of the most treasured parts of my work, firstly because I strongly believe in their value in the world and secondly because they keep me creative and thinking on my feet!
I am the Learning and Participation Lead for both of my chamber groups, Ensemble Moliere and Magnard Ensemble, with whom I lead creative workshops and family concerts. From 2021-2025 I was the Learning and Participation Advisor for The Musicians’ Company, providing mentoring, training and writing/ devising projects for Young Artists. As a Young Artist myself with Musicians’ Company from 2014-2019 I led projects in a whole variety of settings, from primary and senior schools, to SEND settings, care homes, hospitals and nurseries.
An early years project I devised in 2020 with Magnard Ensemble. A musical adaptation of Odd Dog Out in collaboration with author illustrator Rob Biddulph.
I am equally happy working in a supportive role and have had the pleasure of doing so for a wealth of organisations such as Wigmore Hall (Chamber Tots), Sinfonia Cymru, OAEducation, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Proms, English Touring Opera, Handel House and Royal College of Music Centre for Performance Science.
